10 Predictions for the Future

Republicans refuse to learn the true lessons of the recent elections. They continue to "jump the shark" in search of better poll numbers. This is the wrong plan. If Republicans continue on this path, here are 10 predications of future events.

  1. The Iraqi government will be overthrown.
  2. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqi's will die in extreme violence (remember what happened after the Vietnam War).
  3. Democrats will blame Republicans rather than admit their own responsibility.
  4. The liberal media will support them.
  5. Republicans will loose the 2008 elections badly.
  6. he Afgan government will be overthrown.
  7. The Saudi government will be overthrown, gas prices will begin to rise and yes many will die.
  8. Israel will be attacked with rockets from multiple countries.
  9. Terrorist attacks will increase in the U.S.American
  10. Friendly countries will begin to realize that security agreements with our country will NOT be honored (Taiwan, Israel, Pakistan, Afganistan, etc.)

This is the security that the Democrats and our Republicans support?

No more a Republican but a conservative first

This message went out today to my Senators, House Representatives, Arizona Republican Party and the National Republican Party. With the exception of voting for Mitt Romney (part of my "Anyone but McCain" policy), I will not vote for any Republicans. What we need is an American Conservative
Party.

This message was sent today to my Senate and House Representatives.

This message is to notify you that I will be officially leaving the Republican Party as of today. I can no longer support a party which has abdicated its responsibility to provide for the future security of its citizens. The current trends of Republican party members in NOT supporting the President in his Iraq policy, NOT supporting the security of our borders, NOT demonstrating fiscal conservative policies, NOT supporting the sanctity of marriage and NOT being willing to state vocally their support of these issues demonstrates its incompetence to lead this country. It further demonstrates the lack of understanding of security issues whether they be military, financial, or moral in
nature. This may not represent your personal views, however, until the Republicans start standing up and speaking for conservative views, I will not support any Republicans financially or with my vote.

I'm tired of waiting for them to change!

What Republicans Really Need to Do (posted Nov 9, 2006)

Original post

I need to address the question that is on everyone’s mind since the election…”What should Republicans do?” I have been a Republican for 35 years. I voted for Republicans during this last election NOT because they deserved it, rather because of 5 basic principles:

  1. I don’t believe the principle of cut-and-run makes my family safer.
  2. I don’t believe we should go back on our word to the Iraqi people.
  3. I don’t believe that providing benefits and entitlements to illegal aliens will strengthen our economy.
  4. I don’t believe that following the European example of entitlements will strengthen our economy or help individuals.
  5. I do believe that supporting gay marriage is wrong and immoral.

The results of the election sadden me, however, what I have seen in the last two days angers me more. The Republicans lost, so what. What are we going to do about it? What principles are we going to hold fast to and fight for? What I have seen the last two days are not Republicans who lost, rather Republicans who are acting like losers by moving more toward the Democratic position.

Republicans didn’t loose because of the Iraq war. Republicans lost for two reasons:

  • They did not follow conservative principles
  • They did not get out and state their case effectively

Republicans have less than two years to prove to me that they can correct these errors and do it effectively. If they don’t, they will suffer a greater loss than the one they had two days ago. My patience will not last forever. John McCain is not the future of the Republican party, basic conservative principles are.
